Obituary of Violet T. Forni

South Hadley-Violet T. (Biernacki) Forni was called safely home on February 25, 2023. Born in Chicopee, she was the daughter of John and Anna (Przybylowicz) Biernacki. Violet grew up in Chicopee and lived in Feeding Hills before her husband's worked moved them to Illinois. Many years were spent in Brewster before relocating to South Hadley in 1998 to be closer to family. Violet worked as a cafeteria worker on both the Cape as well as in South Hadley until her retirement. Earlier on in her working life, she worked for Breck Hair Products and Motorola along with other employments through the years. Violet's creative talents could be seen in her earlier years in crafting and more recently in her beautiful knitting, crocheting and decoupage. In her retirement, Violet enjoyed traveling and playing Bingo. In 2002, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Vincent S. Forni and in 2022, her devoted longtime companion, Frederick Bozek. Violet was the last surviving of eleven children and was predeceased by her sisters, Bertha Nowak, Anne Olbrych, Mary Gwizdaloski, Jennie Pietras, Celia Garstka and brothers, Frank Biernacki, Walter Biernacki, Stanley Biernacki, Albert Biernacki and Joseph Biernacki. Violet is survived by many nieces, nephews. Her family wishes to extend a sincere thanks to all those who loved and cared for her through the years. Visitation will be Saturday, March 4 at 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home with a funeral mass at St. Patrick's Church at 11:00 a.m. with burial at a later date in St. Stanislaw's Cemetery in Easthampton.
