Obituary of Glorianna H. Wholley

Glorianna H. Wholley, 90, passed away February 22, 2023 with her family at her side. She was born in Hartford, CT, on July 6, 1932 to the late Wallace and Corrine (Robarge) Hill and was raised in East Hartford. She graduated from Hartford College for Women with a Bachelors in Nursing and later graduated from AIC with a Masters in Business Administration. With a passion for caring for others, Glorianna worked as a Nurse for many years prior to her retirement. 
She enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished the memories made with her husband as they traveled to memorable destinations in their RV. Guided by her faith, Glorianna sang in numerous church choirs. She was also a gifted organist and pianist. 
Besides her parents, Glorianna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Wholley, in 2008, brother Douglas Hill, and her sister Sharon Rawlinitis. She will be dearly missed by her children, Joseph Farr-Wholley and wife Kimberly, Kathleen Johnson and husband Alan, Janice Desloge and husband Tom, Francis Wholley and wife Rosemary, and Mary Wholley. She also leaves her brother, Wallace Hill. She will forever be remembered as a loving Nana to her grandchildren, Timothy Wholley, Kirsten Johnson, and Grace Wholley.
Visitation will be held on February 28, 2023 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Beers and Story South Hadley Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on March 1, 2023 at 9:30am for a funeral procession to Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery where Glorianna will be laid to rest at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Glorianna's name can be made to the Take & Eat program at the First Congregational Church of Hadley.
