Judith Loconto

Obituary of Judith A. Loconto

Judith Loconto, 61, lived a full and vibrant life. She passed away on January 30. As she had hoped, she passed in the comfort of her home where family and friends could gather. She is predeceased by her partner, Robert Finne. She leaves behind the lights in her life, her two children, Shelly Taft and her husband John; and Stacie Taft and her partner Greg. Her legacy also includes her grandchildren Brooke, Summer, Hunter, Sascha, Ivan, Hans, and Nick. Judy will also be missed by her two big sisters and her brother-in-laws: Ginger and Ron Blaszczyk and Pam and Paul Vigeant. Judy's neices and nephew will miss "the fun aunt", who taught them to embrace life. Her family ties extend to stepchildren and friends that became family - you know who you are. Judy was eclectic - in the way she thought, walked, talked and dressed. Her colorful character was evident in the way she wore anything, from a business suit to a bathing suit. You could see her creativity in the way she chose the decorations in her home, to the art she created herself. Judy did not believe that life was a spectator sport; she participated in trying new things and visted exotic places with family and friends. She played electric guitar, repaired a mustang engine, owned a horse, and did barrel racing. She has climbed into a volcano, gone ziplining, and swam in caves. Even her occupation as court stenographer piqued her curiousity and brought her to places like London, England. She is leaving us with stories that will sustain us and the memory that she laughed at herself the hardest. Services are private as Judy participated in her own goodbye party in November.
