Obituary of Gail C. McLaughlin

Gail C. McLaughlin, 74, of Stafford Springs, Connecticut passed away January 5, 2023, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. She was born on September 27, 1948, in Ware, Massachusetts to Edward and Lillian (Harris) Whipple. Gail was raised in Pelham, MA and graduated from Amherst Regional High School. After high school she furthered her studies at Northampton Junior College receiving an Associate Degree in Business Management. Gail lived in Stafford Springs, CT for over 40 years, she retired as a bookkeeper from The Beauregard Corporation in Vernon, CT. Previously she worked for Bundy Motors, Herb Holding Trucking, and Triano Oil Company. Gail loved dogs, especially Doberman Pinchers which she bred and showed for many years. She ran Kanine Kollege training classes and owned Bark Inn Kennels. She was also an obedience instructor for Nathan Hale Obedience Club and a member of the South Windsor Kennel Club. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Edward McLaughlin and her brother Edwin Whipple. She will be deeply missed by her partner, Francis Kaess, her niece, Jennifer Albrizio and close friend, Diane Mathieu. Calling hours will be held at Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home on January 11, 2023, from 5:00PM - 7:00PM, followed by a time of sharing remembrances at 7:00P.M. Burial will be private.
