Obituary of William C. Rollin, Sr.

William C. Rollin Sr., 81, of Monson, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. He was born on June 14, 1941 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Mary (Bankes) Rollin. He was married to the love of his life,  Dorothy (Eutzy), from November 4, 1961 until her death April 9, 2003

A 1959 graduate of Boiling Springs High School, Pennsylvania, he attended Shippensburg University, formerly Shippensburg State Teachers College, Shippensburg PA. He served as a traffic manager at several companies in Pennsylvania, Florida and retired from Zero Corporation, Monson, MA.

Poppy, as he was known to everyone, loved sports, and had been a member of the Quaboug Country Club, where he was an avid golfer. He enjoyed playing cards, dominoes and cribbage. He loved watching his kids, grandkids and great grandkids play sports as well.

Poppy will be dearly missed by all who knew him including his loving children William Rollin Jr (Belinda) of Springfield, Theresa Camasta (Keith) of Hummelstown, PA, Michelle Dee (David) of Springfield, and Tina Reep (Ron Briere) of Monson; his siblings Donald Rollin and Deborah Resh, of FL; and Barbara Roark, of MS; his 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, William is predeceased by his grandson, Christopher and his siblings Joseph Jr, Lorraine, and Anna Jo.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N Main St, from 11:00AM - 1:00PM.

A funeral home service will begin at 1:00PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
