Obituary of Shirley A. Kirby

Belchertown - Shirley A. (Clifford) Kirby, 85, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on June 6, 2022. She was born on September 10, 1936 in Enfield, CT to Thomas and Fanny (Gatto) Clifford. She was raised in Thompsonville, CT and resided in South Hadley for many years. She also resided in Pompano Beach, FL as a Snowbird for 22 years. She relocated with her husband to Belchertown in 2002. Shirley retired from Mt. Holyoke College where she worked in food service for 16 years.

In her leisure time, she enjoyed being with her family, the beach, playing cards and board games and traveling. She will be deeply missed by her devoted children; Her son Steven Ciesones and his wife Raquel of Colchester, CT, 2 daughters, Cindy Jenks and her partner, Wayne Lamoureux of Chicopee and Sharon Duffus and her husband William of South Hadley. She also leaves her precious grandchildren, Jenny Lee & Jeffrey (Jenks), William, Michael and Shari (Duffus) & Amber Moroch. She had several great grandchildren she adored. She also leaves her brother-in-law Edward Kirby and nephews Teddy and Shawn. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband, Conrad R. Kirby in 2017 and son in law, William Jenks.
