Obituary of Mary H. Degon

Brimfield- Mary H. Degon, 104, passed away May 21, 2022. She was born October 19, 1917 in Malone, New York to the late Joseph and Amanda (Primeau) Bluteau. She was the former Supervisor of the Springfield Armory and was later employed as the head cashier of Bradlees Department Store. She loved the Red Sox and enjoyed traveling and cooking. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd T. Degon, in 2005; her brothers, Walter, Ken and Hubert; her sisters, Beatrice, Virgil, Verna and Ruby; and her grand daughter, Lindsey Degon, in 2017. She will be dearly missed by her son, Wayne and his wife Patricia; daughter, Linda Depeau and her fiance Bob Balboni; sister, Norma Tetrault; grandchildren, Stacey, Taylor, Eric, and Corey; and great grandchildren, Hazel, Mason, Maddox, Cameron, and Kalina. A Funeral Mass will be held on June 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Palmer. Burial will be held at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to Shriners Children's Hospital.
