Obituary of Joan M. Serrenho

Brimfield -Joan M.(Veto) Serrenho, 84, passed away peacefully at home while in the loving embrace of her husband on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Joan was born in Springfield, MA on July 8, 1936 to Charles and Jennie (Mastriani) Veto. Joan lived in Springfield until she moved to Brimfield, MA. Joan retired from a career in the banking and healthcare industries. She was a 30 year kidney transplant survivor, an avid sports fan as well as a communicant of St. Christopher's Church in Brimfield. Joan is survived by her husband Joaquin Serrenho, two children; Lisa Hackworth of Athens, AL and Michael and his wife Mary of Brimfield, MA. She also leaves four siblings; Carol Bressette, Antionette Fusco, Peter and John Veto. Joan will be missed by her five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home have been entrusted with arrangements in which all funeral services will be private. A Mass and celebration of life will be at the family’s discretion.
