Mike and family:
I am so very sorry, to learn of Fergie's passing. I knew him as a kind, sharing and always thoughtfull gentleman with a ready smile and a helping hand.
May God's grace provide you some measure of solace through the sure and certain knowledge that Fergie and his beloved Joyce are together again, in Heaven.
Sincerely,
Joe Russell

As a summer hire (circa 1980) I worked along side Mr. Ferguson on the Highway Department. He was a class act; an honorable man whom everyone liked. His accounts of his military service partly inspired me to have my own career in the Air Force.

Our deepest sympathies to Mike, Jenny, Grandchildren, Family, Friends and all who knew and loved Fergie - I would be in the last group.Truly had the greatest respect and admiration for that man - always a gentleman, never loud or one who sought attention, always there with his quiet, friendly way - you couldn't ask for a nicer person. Ferg and I used to do some deep fishing together down off Gloucester and Rockport back in the good old days. As a matter of fact in his obit it mentions that he used to love to craft fishing rods - I had him build me a beautiful salt water rod back in those days and used it hard on several trips a year for a whole bunch of years and it it was still going strong when I stopped fishing some 10 - 15 years later - what a craftsman. I know that Ferg is now with his Maker and enjoying the company of his wife Joyce along with Bill & Hazel. My biggest regret is that we did not get to see each other for some time now, as way leads onto way and life gets in the way. Funny how we all think that we will always have tomorrow for friends & family. Thank you for service my friend - rest easy, you've earned it.
